When the other took the clothes from him, it meant that he was indeed going to stay until the morning and who knows, maybe even longer than that. It did not matter to him either way. Atleast the walls he lived in would have some different sounds other than the classical music he played for white noise.
Quietly, he placed a hand on the male’s shoulder, patting it gently. He would not strike him. He would not yell at him anymore for the night. No. it looked as though he had gotten the point and it sunk in deep enough. Legolas allowed his regular expression at that point to return. That kind, gentle look he always had about him. The Legolas he was sure Bard knew and remembered. His head leaned abit to the other.
“We’re gonna sober you up now, alright? I’ll put on some coffee while you change.”
A small smile came across his face. It wasn’t huge; didn’t need to be. It was small and it fit his features. Pulling back from Bard, Legolas moved from him to make it towards the kitchen and put on the coffee.
He wanted to repeat a thanks, but it would partially fall on deaf ears after repeating it multiple times this nigh already. He would apologize again, but likewise for that. Bard was a mess. Maybe this was why Legolas insisted many times. To lay off. The damn ale.
Cloudy eyes follow the other’s, a sigh that coursed through his body when he was granted a gentle pat on his shoulder. Relief.
“Yes, sure. Whatever you think is best, considering that I’ve woken you up for the night.”
He sat, looking around the room rather dumbly in his lonesome. Only coming in hastily in the past, for minutes when waiting for Legolas or otherwise, Bard never truly had the chance to glance, take in, everything that surrounded the other. A humble and modest abode, but it was fitting. Hearing the rumble of coffee machine, he waited, eyes blinking, tempting him to doze off. That would be too unfair to Legolas wouldn’t it? Coming back to a sleeping man, the exact one who had roused the host out of his sleep.
