“No, I am definitely not skipping,” Sigrid was quick to assure him, getting up to fill her travel mug with coffee, “And don’t worry, I took a nap from like…midnight to three,” she added, fishing her waffle out of the toaster and sticking it in her mouth as she put the lid on her coffee mug, holding the waffle between her teeth until she had a free hand to grab it. “Mmm—no, don’t ‘back in my day’ me,” she protested as she chewed, sitting back down at the table, “I need at least five hours of sleep before I can hear that speech,” she added teasingly. She knew he meant well with his lectures, but it wasn’t going to change her study habits. ”And yeah; midterms are this week and I have a practical later today.”

That meant Bard had to stop. “One of my professors told the class that sleep was just as important as the amount of studying you do. So I better hope you hit the pillow tonight rather than the books under no rest other than your nap that I can hardly constitute as enough."
